Purpose

The Yukon Kusko PAC (YK PAC)’s purpose is to educate the American people regarding the Yukon Kuskokwim (YK) region’s important public policy issues related to sustainable economic development, Alaska Natives rural and urban issues, and educational matters affecting our people.

People

The YK PAC was founded by a group of individuals to champion the interests of people who live in the YK region to preserve their land, provide jobs, and provide adequate funding for infrastructure development in one of the most impoverished regions in the United States.

Yukon Kusko Political Action Committee, Inc. (Yukon Kusko PAC) is a multi-candidate and nonconnected political action committee that is registered with the Federal Election Commission and is exempt from federal taxation under Section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to Yukon Kusko PAC are not tax deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes and will be used to make donations to federal candidates and political committees. Yukon Kusko PAC may not accept anonymous contributions, contributions made in the name of another, or donations made by corporations, labor organizations, federal contractors or foreign nationals. Federal law requires Yukon Kusko PAC to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer of each individual donor whose contribution(s) exceed $200 in a calendar year. Participation in the Yukon Kusko PAC is completely voluntary, and individuals have the right to contribute or refuse to contribute to the committee without any fear of reprisal. Any donation guidelines for contributors to Yukon Kusko PAC are merely suggestions and are not enforceable. More or less than the suggested amount may be given, and the amount donated by any contributor, or the refusal to give, will not benefit or disadvantage the donor.
